When you make your reservations for hotels, make sure that you get all the information in you confirmation email. We stayed at a hotel in Sorrento that promised a 15% deduction in fee if you showed Rick's Italy Book. We showed the book at check in and were assured that the discount would be applied. When we checked out the discount was omited because our email did not state the discount statement. The hotel was great, very clean, very comfortable. We had a wonderful time, but I refuse to endorce them because they left a bad taste in our mouths by not honoring the verbel agreement. Live and learn guys!!!

I told myself when I got back that I was not going to disclose the hotel's name on the helpline. But if you send me a personal message on the helpline's message center I'll disclose the name of the hotel in that personal format.

I think this is the kind of info that Rick needs to hear and see. I don't see why you wouldn't post the name of the Hotel.

In fact, there is a place on this site that asks for those kinds of responses to the hotels in the book. Also, Rick gives mention of hotels in his book on on the site based on their willingness to give the discount. If they aren't then they are doing something fraudulent.
