We will be in Ljubljana and do not want to spend 30 hrs flying home. Does anyone know about the bus that can take us to Venice? How long of a trip is it and where do you find the information about it. thanks

DB website shows fastest way as EC train to Villach Austria, then bus to Venice Mestre, 5.25 hour journey. More research may turn up direct bus.

Another choice is to take a Veolia Bus from Ljub to Trieste and train from there to Venice. We used this company from Trieste to Piran and then later, from Piran to Ljub 3 weeks ago. They were timely, clean,and safe.
