Budapest Danube Nite Cruise

We will be in Budapest early October. Looking for a good night cruise on the Danube. I heard it's beautiful.
Anyone used the Danube Legenda, recommended by Rick Steves?
Cruise alone or with dinner? Is the dinner worth it?

Thanks -Joy

I've been on it. Actually i have been on two boats, cant remember the name of the other.

The food isnt terrible, but you can have a bit better of a dinner on the Corso and then walk to the dock when it close to time for the cruise. What is important is that you be on the river after dark. The lights are beautiful.

Thanks, James. I saw there is not a Budapest Forum, but I'm sure Hungary will work! I'll give it a try.
Thanks,also, for your Legenda response.

Is the Corsa like a broadwalk, with restaurants?

Thanks, James and Travel Man.
We will definitely do the Legenda cruise, minus dinner. Eat dinner beforehand.
Love these forums - great for planning!

Hi Joy,
Yes, I just took the Danube Legenda river cruise last week and recommend it! For the best price, go down the ramp at dock #7 and buy your ticket at the booth on the left just before you step on the boat. Be sure to ask for the Rick Steve's discount. (I just showed them the page from my guidebook which I had torn out and they gladly gave me the discount.) Ticket includes a drink. Very enjoyable evening!

Thanks, Christine. I thought of buying tickets online, but it sounds like you had no problem buying them at the dock.
Thanks for your tips. We will do the one hour tour, without dinner. I think that should be long
enough.
We are also doing a cooking class in a private home. We were given options of menus to choose from for meal. Fun!
Thanks again.

Joy, Where did you take your cooking class at while in Budapest? Did you like it and would you recommend it? We will be there March 2019 and would love to schedule one!
Thanks, Christine

My wife and I have taken cooking classes from Agnes and Taste of Hungary. Both were excellent. Make you visit the great market hall. It will be a high point of your trip!
