We were going to visit both areas but responses we received said we were too ambitious, and we agree. Now the question is which area to visit. Any comments?
How much time to do have and what's your budget?
Britain is a lot more expensive than East Europe and more crowded as well. There is a lot more travel information out there though. It's up to you to see what are your interests and to research attractions in both to see what you like.
It's very personal Cathy, but if your first trip overseas my inclination would be the UK; if nothing else you eliminate possible language issues. The poster from Laval?? was dead on, you'll have to do some preliminary research on the two areas and make the decision. For those wanting to wade in, check Cathy's previous post on Eastern Europe dated 3/8/08; you'll see there's a youngster involved in the plan -which is great, s/he'll be a great ice-breaker.
