My daughter is going to Denmark for a study abroad. She takes a variety of vitamins and also takes Midol for cramps sometimes. She wants to take her vitamins but if she brings all original bottles, it will take a lot more space than putting them together in a small travel pouch. Could she just bring bottle labels? And, can she bring the bottle of Midol with? She really needs her vitamins. She takes a stress B plus vitamin and magnesium that really seems to help her with headaches/cramps, etc. and only occasionally needs the Midol - but she needs this stuff with her. Are there rules against bringing vitamins or Midol into Denmark?
Why not just buy them once she gets there instead of bringing what I presume is a multi-month supply with her?
When you say "putting them together in a small travel pouch" are you referring to going through security? Since she is going to study abroad I will assume (and we know that can be dangerous) she is going for an extended period of time. That being the case she should be able to place them in her checked baggage, assuming again, she is taking clothes and what she needs for an extended stay in Denmark, that is more than just can be carried on. That being said, she will be able to find vitamins and Midol there. I can understand she is familar and comfortable with certain brands, but I've gone into pharmacies in Europe and they are amazing. I've bought magnesium at pharmacies in Spain and I don't think a stress B plus is unique to the U.S. But if you are truly concerned i recommend contacting the Danish embassy or checking their website for items not allowed, though I would think over the counter medications and vitamins wouldn't be a problem.
