Booking flights, a gentle reminder

We are traveling to Spain Sept 20-Oct 23. We were a little lax about booking our tickets but finally did on May 31. I forget I had put a google alert for the flight and I received an email today. Our $991.47 is now $1519.00. Just a reminder to book your flights as early as possible. The world is open and Covid deals are disappearing. We already booked flights for March 2023 to Israel too.

Thank you for the gentle push to get my Rome tickets booked before prices increase. I have been thinking about this (obsessing?) all weekend. I can't tell you how much time I've spent on Google Flights lately.

Probably as much time as I have. I got to the point I was clearing my history/cookies several times a day. Hope you get a good price.

It could also be due to the rise in fuel prices.

We are going to Germany early April in 2023, so per this post, I spent time pricing tickets yesterday. Prices highest I have seen them on Iceland Air. I can’t imagine they could get higher, so I am going to wait. Iceland Air often has a sale in the fall, so will wait till then. Curious what others are finding. I think the bargain window is closed for now.

Tammy, we've had good luck the last few times we've flown by catching Black Friday sales.

Who knows what this year will bring, but if you're going to wait until fall, you might think about waiting just a little longer.

My "connecting" flight to Boston went down $100 and my hotel in London had a big price decrease.

Guess clearing those cookies worked.... OPPS! I have never ever done that in my life LOL! And somehow prices still drop.

(I have an overnight with a friend in Boston before my flight to LHR. It's an "unprotected connection" but 26 hours seems safe!)

I do think that with the lifting of the testing requirement the deals for this summer may have disappeared
