Hello everyone,

This is my first post after reading great advise and helpful tips. My husband and I finally decided to do this trip as our 15th year anniversary present. We will extend our trip a few more days. This is our first Europe trip and have no idea what to expect on air fare prices. Does this sound as a reasonable price? looking foward to your responses!

Open jaw ticket booking directly with Air France Economy $5200 two people

Friday June22 SFO-CDG nonstop (Air France)

Sunday July 8 FCO-BCN non stop (Alitalia)

Thursday July 12 MAD-JFK-SFO 3 hr stop at JFK (Delta)

If you are not flying Business Class then that is a rip off.
You have to book the FCO to BCN separately and you will save almost $3,000

Oh my. Jazz is so right. I see RT open jaw flights on Kayak for well under $1000 PP SFO to CDG then MAD to SFO. The FCO to BCN you can easily book yourself on one of many airlines for under $150 PP. So, go on Kayak and if you don't know how to navigate please feel free to private message me.

Using skyscanner.com there are many choices for SFO-CDG, BCN-SFO for less than $1200 per person.

Then you can buy the FCO-BCN separately and save a bundle.

I sure hope the Air France site had a masked man and gun pointed at you to make it clear it was a robbery, when you got the quote.
