On day 1 of our itinerary for the Best of Europe 14-day tour we are eating dinner and then taking, "a la dolce vita-style floodlit walk through the heart of Rome, lacing together lively campos, classy piazzas, the magnificent Pantheon, and the splashy Trevi Fountain."
Is the walk on the first night of the tour the HEART OF ROME walk that is outlined in the Best of Europe Guidebook, page 404? Is it the LA DOLCE VITA STROLL?
I would say probably not.
Any walk on a tour is going to be based on the individual guide's thoughts on what they want to show you. It might have similarities, or not so much.
Rick Steves guides are given a lot of leeway, there isn't a script they follow.
Thank you for your insight. I may do the walk with the RS audio guide on my day before the tour and, if we do the same walk again with our tour, it will still be great!
