Bloomberg Connect Guide app

Yesterday while I was booking some London sightseeing, I found this free app listed on the Wallace Collection (free museum) website. There are 300+ smaller museums listed, many in the US and England/Scotland, some in France and a several in other countries including Italy and Japan.

Some museum guides are audio, others are written. As I scanned through the list, I saw Ann Frank Huis, British Library, National Gallery, Musee Carnavalet, Chateau de Vincennes.

You get the idea. Lots of free guides. ❤️Save the ones you want for your trip to make them easier to find. I downloaded the app from the Apple App Store. Logic (?) says it should be available for Samsung.

Bloomberg Connect is the platform that many museums use to build their audio tour. The participating museums provide a link to the audio guide on their websites or in the museum. The museums also have free WiFi to download the app.

Also, please note that Haus is the German word for house, not the Dutch word. In the Netherlands we use the word huis.
Somehow using the German word is a common mistake on this forum when referring to the Anne Frank huis/house. Given the context, I will continue to run the risk of being called pedantic (or worse), and correct the mistake every single time I see it.

Dutch_traveler, Thanks for the Dutch lesson. I corrected the spelling. Also thank you for more explanation about the app.

O my goodness! What a find!
Horsewoofie, have you tried it yet? Is it pretty intuitive/easy to use?
(I see that the recently re-opened Frick in NYC is on the list; we have reservations there next month!)

Hey Kathy, I opened up a couple of the guides. My trip is a month away so haven't used them on site. The audio guides seem straight forward. Audio links are a little difficult to find for some sights. The ones that are written would work best for pre-tour study unless you wanted more information when standing in front of something. The guides I looked at had museum maps which are helpful.
I don't usually take museum tours since I like to wander especially when I see a shiny object. So I think these guides will be a good way to learn more about what I'm seeing. And jog my memory afterwards.
