We'll be in Europe this Fall. Should we worry about finding bike rentals for kids as young as 10?
Do you mean road bikes for a long bike journey, or just renting bikes in cities for fun and transport? Also, what countries, , saying "Europe " is like me saying are there Cheesecake factories in North America,,,,the answer is yes in States, but that won't help if person is going to Canada or Mexico right? In Paris Fat Tire Bike Tour rents bikes and I know they have smaller bikes for kids . They also have a city bike rental program( can be almost free) but the bikes are one size fits all and are a bit big for most children under 12.
I agree with what Pat said and will add that some places do have rentals for kids (you'll need to specify what size bike you want to rent), but may require an advanced reservation due to limited #s, and/or they may not rent helmets for kids. You may need to bring or buy a helmet.
Thank you both for your feedback.
