This is one of the first steps.
Great if you’re inbound, but unless other countries open up to those from the U.S., we still can’t travel to many places.
Maybe not other countries but loads to see in the USA. I have a friend who is planning a 3 month road trip visiting National Parks and Monuments. He’ll start out in mid May.
CA across the SW to Florida and then North to Vermont. From there West heading to Seattle.
From what I've read here and on other boards, not many Americans have let travel restrictions prevent them from travelling within your country. And while the US may open its borders to inbound tourists from Canada and Mexico, I hope no one expects Canada to reciprocate this any time soon. I doubt that would happen before the fall.
Sharing US stockpile of AstraZeneca vaccine doses with Canada and Mexico are in the USA's self-interest in getting us closer to a continental "herd immunity". Sharing doses may hasten the reopening of our North American boarders.

Sounds like a great trip.
Edgar this measure certainly can't hurt although how much sooner it would result in sufficient full immunizations ( and therefor reopened borders) remains to be seen. While we have enough vaccines contracted to immunize many times over, our main problems have been with insufficient and/or unreliable delivery by the manufacturers. Shipments from the US, instead of Europe can only help. Our province also has been having difficulties getting shots into arms- their program so far has been dismal, and the person responsible for said program is quitting at the end of the month - with no replacement. :-(
