We've enjoyed city bike tours in other major cities. Any recommendations for Rome, Florence or Madrid? Thanks!
We did this bike tour last September:

We met in Florence and went in vans out into the countryside. The trip included a tour of a Castle that makes wine, wine and olive oil tasting, a nice bike ride through the wine country, lunch (which was really good) and you get a water bottle to bring home with you. We really enjoyed it and recommend it. Usually we just rent bikes and do our own touring, but this was really fun and guides were great.
Your question: "city bike tours in other major cities. Any recommendations for Rome..."I don't remember anyone on this forum recommending bicyling in the city of Rome, because of the chaotic traffic. For Rome, you'd do what Connie did in Florence, connect with a tour that would transport you outside the main part of the city, to a location that would be safe and enjoyable for biking.
Conne, This looks like a great option! Thanks for the tip.

Our family did "I Bike Italy" out of Florence a few years ago. It was terrific. We rode up to Feiosale, had the best lunch ever, rode down to a vineyard or two. Our host was great. 055-2342371
