Best winter travel

What is the best trip for Feb. & March 2010. New wife & I are looking to go to Paris / Italy / Greece. We both have been to Europe before. First time traveling Europe together. Travel length : 6 weeks.

What are your interests? Nautre, hiking, gardens, museums, art, history....? That can make a difference in our recommendations. Personally, I'd do London (2 weeks with day trips), Rome (same)(never been there, but want to go) and one other city. I had a bad experience with Paris but others LOVE it. If I had to choose, I'd go with either Vienna or Munich/Salzburg.

Egypt and Israel,, where it will be if not warm,, not cold and rainy or snowy,, LOL OK fine, we will stick to Europe( but how cool to see the Pyramids)

Serioiusly, I would consider Paris, Rome and London as they have so many indoor sites( museums mostly I guess) so one does not rely on the weather.

I loved my 2 weeks in Greece(years ago) ,, but we were island hopping, and beaching, and Greece in Feb and Mar is still winter,,, islands pretty well closed down,, so you do best to stay on mainland,, where many of the sites are outdoor ruins.. Outdoors may mean cool and rainy.

Not knowing your interests, that's hard to answer. If you like winter sports, Europe is a paradise. If not... you have to plan a little more carefully, because most published itineraries are written with summer travel in mind.

My wife and I want to fly into London (cheapest place to fly into), sightsee for a day then fly to Paris for 4 days. She wants to do Venice (I have already been there)for a few days, Rome is a must but then we want suggestions where to visit around Italy (day trips). We want to finish up with Greece. It will be a bit warmer so we thought we can send our winter coats back to VA. We both enjoy visiting museums, churches, sight-seeing in general. We will most likely rent a car in Italy and Greece. Eurorail or flight from Venice to Rome. We live at the oceanfront in Va. Beach so hanging out on a beach is not important. Our last 3 trips have been Hawaii, Barbados, Belize, St. Lucia, etc. We would like to be somewhere that a festival is going on. We love excercise and wine or a pint.
