I know I probably don't sound like the usual RS traveler by posting this, but I have a seriously Bad Back! Anyone have
any ideas here? I am trying to get to Rome in October, but I don't care if I have to land in another city anywhere in Europe
as long as I can do the "long leg" in business class, then buy an inexpensive ticket to Rome. Thanking all of you!
Flyertalk.com is often pretty useful for this kind of thing. Go to the Mileage Run subforum and check the 'Good Deal Premium Fares 2014' thread as well as skimming the other posts in that section.
Lufthansa does have BC sales, you need to check their site. Realistically though those fares are still going to be in the 2500 and up range. I know this because I have booked these with them on previous occasions. If you think you will get cheaper than that you are dreaming.
Thanks, all.
My sister and BIL have used the company BookYourAward.com to fly business class to Europe for 100K round trip [each] from San Francisco. They also got advice on how to get to that 200K level by using credit cards. This fall they are trying Air France's premium economy seats since they couldn't get a good routing through the BYA.com folks. Good luck!
