Best way for getting from Heathrow to Shelton Street in Covent Garden

Hello. We are going to be first time travelers to London soon. The transportation options seem a bit overwhelming. For those of you in the know, what is the best way to get form Heathrow to Covent Garden? I'm not sure if the tube runs from Heathrow to Covent Garden. Should we take a taxi, or use Uber, etc.? What would you suggest for the quickest, safest, and most cost effective way considering there are four of us and our luggage.

Thanks

Do not take a taxi unless you have money to burn. Train will be quicker and cheaper.
Heathrow is on the Piccadilly line, and luckily so is Covent Garden. See tube map here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/standard-tube-map.pdf (dark blue line)
The tube is a bit cramped and slow, but as you can do this trip without changing, I recommend it over the "Heathrow Express".
At Heathrow, go to the tube station (different stations for different terminals), buy 4 Oyster Cards if you don't already have one (one per person), add £20 credit to each, and get on the train. Off peak fare is £3.10 per person, but £20 will give you credit for further trips.
About 50 minutes later get off at Covent Garden - easy.

Shelton Street is one block north of the Covent Garden tube stop (which is on Long Acre.) There are lifts (elevators) at the station.

One other point on the Oyster Card. When you leave the UK--at the Heathrow tube station--you can return the card and not only get back the original 5 GBP you paid for the card but also any balance left on it. The Oyster card is your friend and will get you the best rates on the tube and buses while you are in London.
