There are several options you could consider.....
- Buy a local SIM when you arrive in Europe. Cell phone shops are usually ubiquitous in European cities. You'd have a local number and local PAYG plan, so your card would have to be topped up from time-to-time.
- You could buy a travel SIM from one of the travel phone firms such as this - https://cellularabroad.com/ . One advantage of this method is that you'd be all set up before you arrive in Europe.
- You could buy a travel SIM from one of the suppliers on Amazon. There are many choices with different networks and different plans, so it's a bit daunting to make a choice.
