Best RS tour for family travel

Hi All

We are beginning to plan our family vacation for next summer and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with RS tours and traveling with kids? My daughter will be 14 next summer and we are thinking about doing a Family Europe RS tour.

Can anyone reccomend a good tour when traveling with kids?

If you have done a tour with kids, were there other families you met where the kids became friends?

As a background, we have not spent much time in Europe. We have been to London and Istanbul. So any recommendations or stories about experiences you had on an RS tour with kids would be great!

Thanks

Robert

Hi Robert. You might want to go to the travel scrapbook section of rick' s site. I think there were some reviews of a family trip. That would give you some information.

We did the Rick Steves My Way Best of Europe in late June 2013. There were about 8 or 9 kids on our tour, ages from around 13 to 19, I think. Four or five were new high school graduates (including our daughter). They all hung out together and we made friends with a couple of the families. This is a great introductory jaunt through some fabulous destinations and I highly recommend it. We like the My Way format so that we could do what we wanted during the days but still had the support of a tour for transportation and lodging. The family tour is likely to have even more kids. I've seen a lot of posts on this site from people on tours with kids and overwhelmingly the comments were positive, saying how good the kids were. The no grumps policy extends to the offspring, I guess. :)

Hi Celeste

Thank you for your info! It sounds like an all around good time for the kids and adults. I will have to look into doing a My Way tour also. Thanks again!
