Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best destination in Europe in December? What place has the best weather? Not very cold and not much rain either?

The best places in Europe in December are places that have a chance of being colder. So I can't answer your question. Germany is one of the best unless you don't like Christmas. The Alps are starting to look snowy white. I can't speak for much of France or Scandinavia, but I'd love to visit those places sometime in December.

Too bad you rule out cooler and wetter. The UK and Austria are both wonderful in Dec. Scotland is absolutly marvelous!!! As are Wales and England. Austria is a winter wonderland.
