best MP3 player for audiobooks?

I know some MP3 players are not well suited to audiobooks (ie, if you leave the book and go listen to something else, they can't find the place you left off). However, I'm not having much luck in determining which would be good. I'd be listening to audiobooks and downloaded tours--hoping I can avoid trucking novels around Europe. Any suggestions? (And also, I'm not too swift with technology, so easy is also good.)

I use the new iPod nano. They are great for audiobooks -- if you switch to something else and come back to it, you're right where you left off. Same goes with podcasts. They are very easy to use.

besides audio books, if you have the iPod touch or iPhone you can get kindle books from amazon to read on them saving space and weight to pack around. Some RS guide books are on Kindle too. i recently went to the UK and bought the RS London guide book for kindle for my iPod touch. the advantage of this over audiobooks are the maps and the ability to have bookmarks so you can jump back and forth to saved pages.

there's so many things you can do with an iPod touch for travel besides audiobooks that i recommend that over just the nano or other straight MP3 player. i can't begin to tell you how much i used my iPod during my 2+ wk stay. so light and versatile.
