Best MP3 player for audio books?

I'm a technophobe and would welcome any suggestions. Need something simple than can download via a PC. Any features I should look for? Any brands you'd recommend? Are they available dual voltage or would I need a converter?
Thanks!

I use my iPod Nano. You can buy audio books from the iTunes store, or you can rip your own CDs and load them onto the iPod with iTunes software. I use mine constantly at work. All they require is a plug adapter for whatever country I am visiting.

The ipod... Hands down. Sure folks may hate the ipod and think it's overrated but it very easy to use. I heard that when Apple was designing the ipod, the apple Boss was very offended that he couldn't get to a song within 3 clicks so he threw the engineers back to the drawing board.

There is lots of support and 3rd party software and hardward for the device. And podcasting is a neat feature. Rick Steve's has his own podcast.

iPods are the easiest to work with and download MP3s to. Just note that the new iPod Nanos do not come with a wall charger, only a USB computer charger. If you use the iPod a lot, make sure you budget some extra money for a wall charger and a set of European plug adapters.

You can get any brand . All MP3 work the same way.
They use a very simple technology, connect to a PC via an uSB cable. A new drive letter will be assign by the PC when you plug in, usually something above D: , assuming your PC has a CD/DVD-ROM.
You have to look for those MP3 players that have a larger memory and maybe those you can use a memory card with.It will help you to store more books or songs. Some MP3 players use regular batteries (AA), and the best thing about them is that they don't use a lot of power.Mine, it's an older Memorex, uses one AA an it goes for hours.About the dual voltage- those that come with a power connector, look for something that says 120-220V , usually it's stated on the power plug itself.I think nowdays they make MP3 players that charge dirrectly from your PC.

iPOD, iPOD. My wife is an avid reader of books. Or, more recently, a listener of books. She is a member of the local library and a book club. She checks out audio CDs from the library and loads them onto here iPOD via iTUNES (you list each CD as a music album). She has increased her book reading by listening to them instead. She listens while she gardens, does her needlepoint and so on.

She took her iPOD Nano to Europe for the plane and train rides. True that she only had a USB connection but I had to sign on to computers at hotels and internet cafes to check my corporate email (I didn't take my laptop - Yeah). While I was online, we had her iPOD plugged in for recharge. If you don't do it this way, you will need, as stated above, a USB/elec wall charger with European plugs.

Ipod can download books from audible.com, but you must pay for them or you can get them on CD and download them to the ipod, but it is so much easier and cheaper to download them directly from your library online for free. The IPOD can not do that. The best MP3 player that I know of to download free books from the library directly to your MP3 is a Creative Zen. I have the Creative Zen Nano 4mb and I currently have 5 books from the libaray on it and probably have to room to add another 5 if I wanted to. The Creative Zen is one of the few MP3 players that has 10 bookmarks in it. Bookmarks allow you to stop the book and mark your place. It is very important to have bookmark ability and why should you pay for books when you can download the latest books from the library online. It also has a FM radio and is a voice recorder as well and it is cheaper than the ipod. I got mine from Amazon.com.
Check out the Creative Zen before you buy an ipod for books.
