Hi. I love travelling with my Ipad, but struggle with the keyboard when sending longer emails. I have looked at reviews online but wanted the travellers opinions. Weight is a big deal for me, I try to carryon on the way to Europe so I want something light. I also want to easily remove the keyboard for a lighter weight option when I want it. Thanks a lot.
We use a Kensington--its a one piece folder with a bluetooth keyboard that folds or makes a stand when in use. The keyboard is rubber and seemed small to me. It works well, probably better for my wife (due to size?). The iPad can easily slide out for separate use. There is a hole in the folder for taking photos. I can't compare it to others since its the only one we've used. It was priced at about $60 a year ago. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your feedback. I will have a look online at both options.
I have a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard/case. Easily snaps on and off and has a keyboard that feels like a keyboard (not one of those mushy key versions). It's bluetooth and chargeable by USB. I have the newest iPad - if yours is an older model, I didn't care for this case for earlier models (it has a weird "lip" around the edge of the keyboard).
