Can anyone recommend the best off-beat places in Europe in October (specifically 12th-22nd). Eastern Europe? Balkans? I've been to all the major souther Europe as well as Germany, Holland etc. Need something with good weather and more off -beat. Anyone?

Turkey is an exotic destination--I haven't visited in October but I've read that the weather is still pleasant then!

Hummm...what about Slovenia and Croatia--we were there in October a few years ago and it was pleasant though a little cool.
