I've read many reviews for the hostels in Paris.Alot of them or horrible. Does anyone have recommnedations for a desent hostel in paris that is centrally located?
Also, any recommendations for a centrally located/close to attraction hostel in London?---Thx!
I like the MIJE hostels in Paris and the St Christopher's chain in London.
I second the MIJE hostels. Pleasantly clean and staff was friendly.

For London take a look at the Arran House Hotel in Bloomsbury. It's a B&B, not a hostel, but in addition to its regular private rooms it has some dorm-type rooms with hostel-like prices. And you get a full English breakfast.
In London, Palmer's Lodge was an amazing hostel. It is not really central (it's a bit north, the nearest Tube stops are Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road) but the Tube is so convenient that it never takes more than 20 minutes to get anywhere. The area is beautiful - near Abbey Road Studios, if you are a Beatles fan! - and there are restaurants and a huge grocery store really close by. I LOVED this hostel, the 14 bed dorms are only 15 GBP a night, and that includes free sheets, free breakfast, and free internet and Wi-Fi. It is very clean and comfortable too - definitely recommended!
