Sorry Rick Steves - you do not have any tours running in Greece before April 1, 2010. Wife and I are gonna be in Greece from March 27 - April 7, 2010. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A TOUR COMPANY THAT CAN ACCOMADATE A 9 DAY TRIP TO GREECE, including hoping around islands.

I'm not sure if the timing of this will work for you, but you might have a look at This Website. Of course, it won't be the "Best Greece Tour". I have no doubt that Rick's tour is the best!
At that time of year, some of the islands will be "quiet".

Too bad you're set on your dates! I was going to highly recommend an absolutely fantastic tour company: jimgoldtours.com but his 2010 Greece & the Greek Isles tour is October 10-29. But then you also didn't mention anything about folk dancing so that's another reason his tours might not be right for you!

As Ken pointed out that is awfully early to be island hopping. Most of the islands don't wake up until May. And the weather can be marginal which probably explains why you are not finding an abundance of tours offered at that time by anyone. But at least you will not find things crowded with other tourists.

James,, I think you have posted serveral times about a Greek trip at that time of year. I also think it has been pointed out before the islands will be pretty dead,, likely one reason that many tour companies do NOT do island hopping in March.. perhaps you should think carefully about what you are hearing.
