Best European culture souvenir for free: work-life-balance

If there is one thing travelers can bring home from Europe it is the attitude about work-life-balance. The famous question "Live for working or work for living" has a clear answer in a lot of European destinations.

A study came up with this top ranking list.

I would put a little question mark on that because Copenhagen will definitely be unter top 7.

As a traveler you can see that people in these cities really enjoy their after-work-life, also colleagues together for a drink or two before going home. Enjoy strolling some places, e.g. reaturants along canals in summer and get in touch with locals celebrating that way of life.

That's all well and good Mark but what do you expect people to do with that attitude once they return home and their boss isn't so accomodating towards the European approach to work?

I will decline telling other people, especially those whose country has a different social structure, that they are living their lives wrong. I'm all in favor of appreciating the differences, and adopting those things that I consider meaningful, and of value to me. Others can live their lives as they see fit.

Also, one might expect that younger unattached people hang out with friends after work -- parents probably go home to the kids, just as they do here.
