Hello...we are AAA members Fred Grote and Nancy Mertz who are in Europe. We have a car and 3 weeks. What is your suggested route to start LjublJana Slovenia to Budapest, Slovakia, Vienna, Salzburg, Prague, Berlin,Genoa,Venice...fly out of Venice? Thank you

Wow, that's quite a trip in three weeks! If you are just checking things off a list, my wife and I are doing seven capital cities in seven countries, obviously, following. We will spend two and three nights in most places though! First, you need to X-off Genoa! Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb and Ljubljana which is a little over 900 miles. I would skip Venice OR fly home from Venice. Back tracking a bit to Salzburg via Lake Bled and flying home from Munich would probably save you some money on the car rental too, if you rented the car in Berlin. Good luck!

I also don't understand why Genoa is on the list. At the least, it's a very long drive from Prague or Berlin; from those areas I would fly to Italy if you need to be in Italy; see www.skyscanner.com. It sounds like you have already picked up a car and must have a drop-off city reserved, although you may also be able to change the drop point.
