Hi everyone
We will be in bellagio in September for four days and would love to visit Someo as it's where my ancestors are from. Can anyone advise the best way and if it's possible to be a day trip

It looks like it's in Switzerland and much closer to Lake Maggiore than Lake Como. You would probably need to drive there. Are you also going to Milan or Torino?

First stop is milan but only there for one full day. Then train to lake como and into bellagio

If you drive it is doable in a day. A bit over 2 hours each way.
With public transportation it is tough to make it work.
You need a bus from Bellagio to Como, then two trains from Como to Locarno, and finally bus from Locarno to Someo. Even if all planets align, you are looking at 4 hours each way minimum.
