It's been almost a month since we returned from our Christmas Market trip and I just wanted to thank everyone for all of their invaluable help on this forum. We had a wonderful trip. Flew in to Frankfurt and took the train to Colmar. Stayed five nights in Colmar; day trips to Strasbourg, Dijon and Beaune.
Took train to Munich, stayed four nights; day trip to Salzburg. We then went by train to Prague, where we stayed three nights before flying back home.
We enjoyed every day of it. The Christmas lights and decorations were absolutely beautiful! Really puts you in the holiday spirit. Some of the cities were far more crowded than we expected. I think Munich was the worst. It was packed!!! But we loved eating all the local food and even became fond of the hot, spiced wine.
Now that we're back home and rested, we already have our flights booked to go back in September.
I know this isn't much of a trip report, but just wanted to thank everyone for all the help. I'm sure I'll be back for more.
