Bavaria Itinerary Advice

My husband and I will be in Milan for a wedding in late May and want to spend about a week after the wedding driving through Bavaria and the Alps. We've both traveled through Europe extensively and have all of the big "must see" destinations under our belts. What we want to do on this trip is spend a little time in smaller towns and villages, drive some spectacular roads, eat authentic meals and stay in cozy bed and breakfasts or inns. Here is my preliminary itinerary, please let me know if you think its too ambitious or if there is another location or hidden gem in the vicinity that we should see instead. Any recommendations for roadside stops or diversions are most welcome!
Day 1 -- Drive from Milan to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Day 2 -- Lauterbrunnen and area
Day 3 -- Drive from Lauterbrunnen to Mittenwald, Germany
Day 4 -- Mittenwald and area
Day 5 -- Drive to Corvara, Italy
Day 6 -- Corvara and area
Day 7 -- Return to Milan

Any thoughts and recommendations are welcome. We prefer to drive this time instead of take the train (which we done on several prior trips).
Thanks!

From Mittenwald it's 77 km to Dießen am Ammersee, an old market village of about 10,000 inhabitants, on the southwest shore of the Ammersee. It's a popular destination for German weekenders, but not on the international tourist grid at all. It's known for its sailing school and annual pottery market. There are several excellent inns and restaurants. Walk from the lakefront through town up to the ornate Marienmünster abbey (ca. 1729). From Dießen ride one of the stately paddlewheel ships across the Ammersee to Herrsching, then take a cab or local bus, or walk three miles up a forested path, to Kloster Andechs, where the Benedictine monks have been brewing great beer since the 15th Century.
