We are heading to Rome and are looking for a nice hotel located near the major sites BUT it MUST offer a bath tub in the room.

If a bathtub is required, then I would suggest sticking to the American chain hotels such as Marriott, Sheraton, Westin, Hilton.

We stayed at a very nice hotel called Albergo del Senato right in front of the Pantheon that has large bath tubs as well as large bathrooms and rooms. We had a view of the Pantheon from two windows and it was priceless - especially at night. The only negative was the reception staff - very unfriendly.
