I am looking for a B&B around 100 Euro (mid October) for Rome, Italy near the train station. I know it is still "high" season. My husband and I don't need "fancy" just a nice, clean place to stay. Some reviews I've read on several B&B's I've looked at are not good. I'm sure one of you will have a good suggestion. We are open to staying further in the middle of Rome. Grazie. Bonnie
www.the-beehive.com book early and have a great time.
It's not 'technically' a B&B but I decided to stay at the Hotel Paba (only 5 rooms, so it's pretty close). I got it for 100 euros for a double/single use in September, so I imagine October would be comparably priced. It gets good reviews from Tripadvisor and the owner/manager was a sweetheart when I conversed with her to make my reservation. It's a little way away from the train station - it's right by the Colosseum.
The Hotel Italia would be my choice. I stayed there last year for 6 days and was very pleased all around.
Like others have said before the beehive is great. They also have some apartments around that area that are reasonably priced.
