I find the recorded RS walking tours great, but limited.
Does anyone have a good resource for audio/podcast walking tours of European towns/cities?

Actually, I’m looking for something of the same myself. I found one for Scotland that’s not really a walking tour but more of a history of different places from Visit Scotland. It’s called Tour Guide Tails, and you can find out more information at the visit Scotland website.
I also came across this article from the New York Times. It’s older, from 2013, but some of them are still valid, and they all look really interesting. I haven’t had a chance to go through this yet as I just found it the other day, but it would be worth a look.
Why not just go on a walking tour with a guide? You can ask questions, everything is up to date, where with an audio guide made a while back, especially pre-covid, may be woefully out of date.
Walking tours in most cities are available for less than 20€ and last 2-4 hours. There is no way that an audio guide can compete in quality unless you are talking about an audio guide in a museum or church or some place where everything stays static and the same. Cities are not like this.
Thanks Mardee.
Ms Jo, I enjoy small-group guided tours, I seek them out. Unfortunately traveling off-season means that many tours don't meet their minimums, and the 20-30€ small group tours turn into 200-300€ private tours.
Annie Sargent who does the Join Us in France podcast has a series of audio tours for Paris. I believe there is a small charge to download them.
