Attire: Respectful but comfortable

Hi. new poster here. So I'll be heading to Western Europe in late April for about 2 weeks; traveling from Switz to neighboring countries.

I want to be respectful of the different cultures and not offend them with my attire. I get warm/hot very easily. I want to be comfortable but dressed properly. during the spring and summer time i'm used to wearing shorts/tshirt or a jeans and a shortsleeeved button up/polo shirt.

any suggestions? Thanks!

Don't worry about it for another moment. Wear what makes you comfortable. No one in Europe cares what you wear.

Except for churches. Long pants and covered shoulders there.

thanks for the quick replies!

well i have family in switz, so i'll be staying with them. i wont be bringing tons of clothes because they have a washer/dryer.

i dont really care if the locals look down on what i wear, as long as it's not being disrespectful (like church, etc).

i dont really mind blending in all that much either. just enough so everyone isn't staring at me; that i dont stick out like a sore thumb.

My husband can't stand being too hot (or too cold for that matter). When we travel in the summer, he wears light weight cotton blend dockers type pants and a polo. He usually takes one pair of jersey shorts and a tank top to wear in the room at night.

Rdeezy. Don't worry about "sticking out like a sore thumb."

There are tourists everywhere. And many wear umbrella hats...

In these days of web cams and Google street view, it is so easy to just zoom into whatever cities you are going to and see what people are wearing.
