hello and thank you in advance. just a quick question. I thought I heard or read somewhere that your# couldn't start with a zero, is that true? I have a 4 didgit pin that starts with zero, will I have to change it? I ack someone at my bank and they said it was ok, but I have gotten wrong information from her before. so I thought to ask the experts to confirm.
It is an old urban story that a very long time ago had an element of truth but the story will not die. Zero is fine but if you are really worried, then change it,
My ATM card pin starts with two zeros. I've used it on four trips without a problem.
Mine starts with a zero, as well. It has worked all over the world.
I also have had PIN #'s starting with 0, no problems whatsoever. And here in Denmark, PIN numbers are issued automatically by the banks with the card and cannot be changed or chosen, so I doubt that there is a problem.
