I assume it will be busy on a Saturday afternoon. How will we know each other?

Hi Rob!
We bring a couple of Rick Steves' blue books and put them on the table! Last time we were able to get the large table near the middle of the restaurant. Hope to see you there! Sharon

Hi, Sharon - I told Karen from Atlanta about the meeting - perhaps she'll join us, she said she doesn't live too far from the Panera. Regards, Anna

Maybe since all of these groups are meeting on the same date, at some point a conference call or Skype can be worked out to expand the groups into one group, thus expanding the advice/tips/experiences given. It would just have to worked out time-wise since the groups are spanning the time zones. But, just a thought. At least the groups can maybe get together or touch base at some point... or can even post requests for travel tip advice...? Or something like that. Any other thoughts or ideas?

It sounds like a great idea Stuart but maybe a little complicated to implement - I'll be anxious to hear what others think. I was thinking of a web blog to capture ideas from each meeting, post trip reports, etc.

You might have to accept payment in the form of a Panera bagel!

And, Frank, you'll have to come to Atlanta to get it!

We actually did just what Stuart suggested during our first meeting. We Skyped with the Denver group. Depending on how big the groups are it can take some time! The time zones can be an issue. We only have one hour difference between CA and CO, but there is a 3 hour difference between Pacific time and Eastern.

That's great Andrea--let's make a plan for a future meeting!

If you meet at 1:00 p.m. and we meet at 10:00 a.m. it is doable. We have started our meetings at 10:00 in the past, but this month we are meeting at 1:00 to see how that goes. Let's see if we can work something out for December.
