Atlanta Group Celebrates 6 Month Anniversary!

I just realized that we've been meeting for 6 months already. We had a great meeting today. Three new people attended--all with trips coming up soon. We missed the regulars who couldn't be there today. The next meeting will be April 16th!

Happy Anniversary! No new people for us today, and some regulars didn't make it. Still, a fun and informative meeting for those there. We all have trips this year. Three of us will actually be in Europe at the same time!

Oh, for those who are traveling in the near future / over the summer, there are some sales going on now including: 1) Rick Steves 20% off on carry-on bags, 2) REI 20% off on an item for members, and 3) Magellan has some sales going including 25% off ExOfficio underwear and t-shirts. If any items of interest or need are included in these, it may be a good time to stock up.

Thanks Sharon for being our driving force! If you are lurking and "curious" so was I, but I promise it's lots of fun! See you in April!

Thanks Carol! You were very generous with your guidebooks! It's great to share resources! Thanks Stuart for bringing back news and resources from the Rick Steves' headquarters in Edmunds! Thanks Jim for your report on your recent trip to Germany!

Sharon, we could have our meeting in Europe...what a brilliant idea. Eileen will need to take a detour though, as she will be in different countries. Although we did not discuss our trips ahead of time, it turns out Larry and I have almost identical itineraries and we will actually overlap time in Barcelona and Paris. What are the odds???

Maybe after a few days with the Mother-in-law... (just kidding, Fave M-i-L!!!) Our turnout - as I was driving, I was thinking 'It's kinda crazy to be out driving in this rainy weather - and the WIND!!!' I sincerely hope everyone else was warm and snug in their toasty beds!
