Athens,London,Amsterdam or Budapest?

At the end of hiking in the Swiss Alps,I will have a week of free time before I have to return home from cdg/Paris.

I love ancient Greek art.Does the British national museum in London have a better or comparable collection than what can be seen in Athens?
I am wondering if I went to Athens if I would have time to visit Budapest or Amsterdam? How is Athens weather in second week of September?
Thanks.

"I will have a week of free time" - not with these ideas, you'll spend most of it traveling to and from airports (or hanging around them). It's 1000 miles from central Switzerland to Athens (and about 3 hours plus checkin time to Geneva or Zurch airport) , 1350 Athens-Amsterdam, 700 Athens-Budapest, 1300 Athens - Paris, 760 Budapest-Paris

With your interest in Ancient Greek art go to Athens. Visit the magnificent new AC ropolis Museum, the National Archeological Museum and the Cycladic Museum. There is also the Benaki Museum. This is your best choice for ancient Greek Art.

Tonnes of Greek art and artifacts at The British Museum. Plus the weather is going to be less brutal than Athens, it's still hot in September.
