Sent in to renew my passport and my daughter's passport. They were both received on September 22 according to the mailing tracker I put on it. Just received both new ones in the mail yesterday, October 6. Two weeks to the day. Both had expired.

My husband and I had similar experiences--21 and 26 days from our early and mid-September submissions. Looks like they're getting even faster as they go along!

That IS awesome! I wonder if there was an extra push due to the possibility there might have been a shutdown? Anyway, glad you’ve got them in hand.

Actually Joe that was my first thought when mine came so quickly, “Is this real?”, especially since my old passport didn’t have a hard plastic ID page. My second thought was the same as Pam’s—wondering if they were working overtime due to the threat of a shutdown.
