Artists ~ When can we paint in Monet's Garden?

I'm looking for detailed information about when artists are welcomed to Monet's gardens to paint. I phoned the Gardens - what I understood the gentleman to say was that artists are allowed to paint only on weekday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Have you painted there? What info can you add?
