Good article with tips and hacks for traveling in the midst of glitches this year. There were some nice tips and interesting apps I wasn't aware of. There is no paywall since I gifted it. Tech Hacks to Make Traveling Right Now Less of a Headache
I’m traveling in less than a week, so it was nice to run through each of these to ensure I am ready. Thanks, Mardee!
Thank you Mardee for gifting the article. We too are leaving in less than a week. We both have the "Tripit" app downloaded, but haven't used it yet. After reading the article, and upon recommendation of others on the Forum, I think we'll set up an account.
Thank you, Marvelous Mardee.
Even though I toggle the costs of flights on Google Flights, I still like to check in a few times per week. On at least one occasion the prices lowered but I didn't get an email alert. Anyway, I got Mary and I on a premium economy flight to Edinburgh from D.C. in July 2023 for $2950 total. By comparison last time we went to London flying premium economy on Virgin it was $2700 in 2019, so I figure four years later we're going alright. Now, watch the price drop now that I've already purchased tickets.
Jean and Carol, have wonderful and safe trips!!! I can't wait to read about them when you get back!
Mike, that sounds like a pretty good price. If it does drop, can't you cancel and rebook? I don't think any airlines are charging fees these days. I admire the people who check around and keep looking - I'm sort of lax about that, which is probably hurting me since I could save some money.
