Around Europe in 30 days

Hi...

my plan is to visit in London as my first city stop then fly to Glasgow and train to Edinburgh..from edinburgh, I still dont know whether to fly or ride the train to Paris...my next city will be Madrid then Barcelona and from Barcelona will be to Austria to Salzburg then Vienna...can anyone suggest the best mode of transportation that has the least travel time and which airlines and trains I can take for these chosen routes of mine?
This will be my first time travelling on my own without tour group...
Thank you so much ..

Edinburgh - fly to Paris, fly to Madrid, train to Barcelona, fly to Salzburg (if there is any direct flight, otherwise fly to Vienna first) train to Salzburg or if you are in Salzburg first, train to Vienna. For trains look at Deutsche Bahn website. For flights look at Skyscan.

Fly into Glasgow or Edinburgh and train to the other. Train to London, which is about the same time door to door. Take the Eurostar from London to Paris.

Check out Skyscanner.com for flights. Rome2rio.com will assist in general route planning and timings. Seat61.com is good for train travel.

Check out the websites of each airport, as they will have a list of the airlines that fly there. If you are flying this summer within Europe, book flights asap, as prices only increase and they have been available for months. Book the Eurostar tickets 6 months out too.
