Are boucle sweaters for traveling effective?

I once owned a Boucle sweater that I lost, so I can no longer test if it is fast drying after being handwashed. Does anyone have experience? I was thinking that Boucle sweaters/long sleeve shirts/etc. would be good for colder weather and for traveling because the one I had kept me warm and because it would easily compress and resist wrinkles. Here's an example.

I see it got some wool and nylon in it. as far as I know wool doen't dry very fast, but nylon dries fast.
I guess you have to figure out how much wool is in it.
I don't take sweaters with me when I travel, I use layering sweatshirts type of tops.I found that the stretchy ones that are a bit thicker than the feather ones keep me very warm, being light at the same time.
