I just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of the experienced, dedicated posters who patiently respond to all our sometimes repetitive questions. While I haven't posted much, every question has been answered with kindness and useful information. I have gathered a wealth of knowledge about European travel by reading through these boards on a regular basis. My husband and I are only a week away from leaving on our first mainland Europe trip. We decided on the Rick Steve's Germany, Austria and Switzerland tour, and we will be spending 4 days in Paris first. We are so excited! I'm sure we will have a much more enjoyable trip thanks to all of you. I'll make sure to make a report when I return to pass it on. Thank you again!

That is very good of you to post this message - some people do not even bother to acknowledge that they have been back to read the responses to their queries. This leads to some of the regular know-alls then ditching the forum(s).

Thank you, Pam! We are so excited! I'm not planning on blogging during the trip - I think it would stress me out and keep me too focused on being online instead of enjoying my trip. But I do plan to make an online scrapbook of our trip like we did for our Scotland tour, so I'll make sure to pass the address on to you when we are done, if you're interested.

Please add me to the "Would Like To See Your Online Scrapbook" list. It would be nice to see what some of the places we visited (GAS 2012) look like when it's not raining!! Great decision to spend some additional time in Paris. Have a wonderful trip! Andi

Don't forget to take a small notebook with you or iPad and during your "Bus Time" you can jot down notes on what you enjoyed the most, your "Wow" moment(s) from the previous location.

I'd like to see your scrapbook too. My BF and I did the GAS tour in 2012, and we had such an amazing time. I wish you on-time flights and glorious weather!
