I know about the 3oz rule but if my bar of dial soap is 4oz can I put it in my carryon?

It's bar soap, of course you can pack it in your carry on. The 3 oz. rule only applies to liquids, gels, pastes & aerosols. If it is a 4 oz. shower gel, no. A 4 oz. solid bar, yes.
Review the TSA's website for a complete list of what is and is not acceptable. Some things like prescription meds and baby formula are ok.

Bar soap solid, no limits. Liquid soap is liquid, 3 oz rule.

Tennille, you are correct. Solid deodorant is OK...rollon and spray come under the restriction. Also under the restrictions, gel deodorants.

What about solid deodorant? I figure that is probably okay and roll-on or spray deodorant is not...am I correct?
