another shoe ? Ecco Yucatan sandal

For my May trip to Portugal and Spain I am looking for a travel sandal that is really comfortable. The last pair of Ecco shoes, a Mary Jane style, did not work out--got blisters on top of toes even though I wore them at home and they seemed fine initially. I found some with great soles that were similar to running shoe soles--Ecco Performance Yucatan is the style. Anyone have this shoe? Found some on Zappos and have already tried it at a local place but they did not have my color.

I have these sandals and have worn them nearly every day on my last couple of trips. They have become my favorite shoes for travel. The straps adjust in 3 places with velcro so it makes it easy to get a decent fit. There are no seams that rub against your feet. They have a sturdy athletic sole with good traction and work well on all sorts of terrain (cobbletones, dirt trails, etc). I have worn them hiking and when it has been cold with socks.

The only thing that I don't like is that the footbed is not terribly breathable (at least not like my all leather sandals). However, unlike my leather sandals, I have never had any problem with blisters.

I got mine last summer and agree with Laura: very comfortable but not quite as breathable as the sandals I had before. I guess that's the compromise you get for having sandals you can take easily into the water.

Mine are red :-)

Thanks for the replies. Not breathable=sweaty feet maybe? The soles look like they would be great for cobblestones. The most comfortable travel shoe I own is the country walker by New Balance but it a cooler weather shoe and it will not be going on this trip.
