Renewal received by government on 7/10 and I received it yesterday six weeks so that is not bad at all. Paid for expedited service and express mail service. I liked the way I could track it. Was getting nervous as we leave in a little over two weeks. My fault for not checking the expiration date. Thank goodness for some reason my husband had taken them out as I thought I had another year to go and found out passport had a 10/31 expiration date. Hope others are also as fortunate as we were.
This is an encouraging report, Gail. Big relief for you I’m sure. I have a trip in Oct-Nov but as soon as I’m back I’m going to send mine in and pay every extra fee possible to make it happen. I’d love to schedule an early spring something but don’t dare until I have it back in hand. It’s good to hear you could follow its progress along online.
My reason for posting was in my mind not pointless but hopefully to be somewhat encouraging that it can be done. Of course there are many different results as in anything. Hope I have reached my goal.
Gail, thanks for sharing the good news, as expiring passports is a regular subject here on the Forum. And your post reminds the rest of us to double check our own Passports.
Have a great trip!

Just found the above, hope they report back and update us!
Thanks for the update - it's appreciated!
Hey, Gail. Your post is not pointless at all. It's nice to have another data point on how long renewals are taking. I sent mine in mid June and had it by the end of July. So... about 6 weeks, too.
