We, too, love traveling in Europe over anywhere else but are wondering if there are other forums and guide books that are recommended for travel in the USA?

Hi Charlene, go to tripadvisor.com they have forums on every country, including the States, and they are divided by State. Some are very active. Its one of the most complete forums I have found as it covers Europe, Asia, North and South American .

It has threads for just about anywhere you can imagine.
Tripadvisor.com is another place to look for information.
