Another Itinerary Check?

I waited too long to purchase a flight and it got too expensive. I decided to leave a day early to get a better price. Does this look okay? I had to cut out a day-trip to Bratislava and a day in Vienna

August 13th- Depart NYC to travel to Budapest- Budapest to Paris
Day 1 August 14th- Stop over in Paris arrive at 9 am
Day 2 August 15th- Depart Paris 6 am arrive in Budapest early afternoon
Day 3 August 16th- Budapest
Day 4 August 17th- Budapest
Day 5 August 18th- Budapest
Day 6 August 19th- Travel to Vienna
Day 7 August 20th- Vienna
Day 8 August 21st- Vienna- Travel to Prague
Day 9 August 22nd- Prague
Day 10 August 23rd- Prague
Day 11 August 24th- Prague
Day 12 August 25th- Depart Prague to NYC in morning

You got enough days for Budapest and Prague, probably not enough for Vienna. I would say minimum three days for each city. But you cannot fix it. In attractivity I would rate them Prague, Budapest, Vienna.

I'm with Jennifer on the rankings. You get a "bonus" day in Paris, obviously not enough to see the city fully, especially when jetlagged, but enough to get a taste if you haven't been there before. This is one situation where the hop-on-hop-off bus might make sense (without hopping off much) just to give you an overview and whet your appetite for next time. However, I'd recommend spending that night in a hotel at CDG to help you make that early morning flight to Budapest.

Some call Paris the "Budapest of the West." You can decide for yourself. ;-)

Dick,

I was in Paris last summer so its a chance to stop by my favorite pharmacy to stock up and maybe spend a day in one of my favorite spots. It would be nice to get the chance to go back briefly.

Looks good to me. We just did 2 nights in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest in that order last December. One more night would have been nice in each city. On August 25th, are you departing early in the morning? If so, I would not count August 25th as a day there.

John,

Yes, that's not counted as a day, just counted as departure.
