Another carry on question...

So I have been to the TSA site and have seen all the rules, I'm just unclear on one thing.

Do the bottles have to be clear, so you can see whats inside?

I want to carry on a bottle of Dove moisterizer, it fits the other standards as its only 70 ml but the bottle is white and you can't see in it. I would rather not put the moisterizer into another bottle as I really like the bottle it comes in, and the pump it has.

Can anyone clearify this for me?

Also if the bottles do have to be clear what do I do about the small travel size tubes of toothpaste I bought?

It's the size that matters, not the color.
Xray machine will be able to "see" thru any color and material.

You can carry on the different trial or travel size containers you get at the store. They don't have to be clear. I have heard some complaints about people who bought a travel kit with small colored bottles to put their liquids in. It seems TSA is happier with original containers and don't care so much about clear. If it's not the original container, they may take a second look whether it's clear or not.
