I always use weather.com to get a 10 day forecast for the cities I am visiting as well as the historical weather for the same period last year.
What I like even better is a webcam so I can actually see the conditions on the ground and more importantly for me, what people are wearing.

Thank you for reminding me of the skyline webcams! One of my favorites is of the garden at "Juliet's" house in Verona where you can see a wide variety of people posing for photos with the statue of Juliet and what they do while posing.
Windy.com gives you better quality forecast which is more adapted to European weather models. You can also choose between different forecast models in the bottom right of the page. You can also access the weather cams of and near destinations.
